I feel close to being back on a normal schedule today. I am up before 6am, drinking coffee I made with my aero press and working through edits on my dissertation.
I have a lovely view from the kitchen table in my AirBnB host home. Then, I walked into town this morning to start my day. I made my way into Oxford’s Covered Market and had a light breakfast at Brown’s Café (est. 1924).
I had a meeting with an instructor working in Hebrew Studies at Oxford in Clarendon Institute. After which a trip to the famous Blackwell Bookshop, followed by lunch with Kathleen at Turl Street Kitchen.

It is a busy metropolitan area here at Oxford. A mix of new and old. I hate to say it, but I am ready to move onto the laid back agriculturist surroundings of Cambridge.
Dr. Erica Mongé-Greer, holding a PhD in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen, is a distinguished researcher and educator specializing in Biblical Ethics, Mythopoeia, and Resistance Theory. Her work focuses on justice in ancient religious texts, notably reinterpreting Psalm 82’s ethics in the Hebrew Bible, with her findings currently under peer review.
In addition to her academic research, Dr. Mongé-Greer is an experienced University instructor, having taught various biblical studies courses. Her teaching philosophy integrates theoretical discussions with practical insights, promoting an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
