About This Workshop
Some passages in Scripture comfort us immediately.
Others challenge us deeply.
Violence. Ethical tension. Suffering. Exclusion. Contradictions we do not know how to reconcile.
For many Christians, difficult biblical texts can create a quiet crisis of faith. Some avoid the questions altogether. Others feel forced to choose between intellectual honesty and spiritual trust.
This workshop offers another path.
Together, we will explore practical tools for reading difficult passages thoughtfully, faithfully, and with greater historical and literary awareness. Rather than forcing simplistic answers, this workshop creates space for honest engagement, careful interpretation, and grounded discussion.
Participants will learn how to:
- Read difficult texts more carefully
- Understand historical and literary context
- Recognize genre and interpretive differences
- Navigate ethical tension in Scripture
- Engage disagreement respectfully
- Stay spiritually grounded while asking honest questions
No academic background is required.
This workshop is designed for thoughtful readers, church leaders, Bible study participants, students, and anyone seeking a deeper engagement with Scripture.
